RACE DAY ACTIVITIES

Concessions and Family Activities will be available on Race day.


12:55pm	Chuck Halford, P.E. Teacher, Arlington Elementary Juggling Team	The Arlington Elementary Juggling Team were featured at halftime of a Grizzlies game earlier this year, and Live at Nine at Peabody Place on channel 3.

1:10pm	Kristi Kloos, Music Specialist, Bailey Station Elementary	Bailey Station Cub Chorus led by Kristi Kloos consists of students in kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. Mrs. Kloos has been an educator for 10 years, and has taught choirs from kindergarten to 8th grade. Jeremy Driver Music Specialist Northaven Elementary Stinger Singers. The Stinger Singers are a group of 4th and 5th grade students who practice before school.

1:25pm	Tabitha Hornsby, Riverdale Elementary, Riverdale Ropers Jump Rope Team	The Riverdale Ropers Jump Rope Team is comprised of 29 Ropers this year from grades 3 8. They practice 3 days a week after school. The Ropers started approximately 14 years ago at Riverdale, and currently is the only school that has jump teams.

1:40pm	Susan Winn, P.E. Teacher, Altruria	Warm up before the race

1:45pm	Girl Scout Troop 182-Pledge/Colors	Leading Pledge of Allegiance - these girls are second-year Juniors. Their troop of 12 consists of girls from Altruria, Bartlett, Bon Lin, Ellendale, Oak, and Rivercrest Elementary Schools. They are led by an educational assistant from Altruria and a Memphis City School Teacher.

2:20pm	Jeremy Driver, Music Specialist, Stringer Singers, Northaven Elementary	The Stinger Singers are a group of 4th and 5th grade students who practice before school.

2:45pm	Young Guns Band, representing HHS and AHS	Young Guns are a Memphis based "Full On" rock band founded by two brothers, Tommie Closson on lead guitar and vocals, Brandon Closson on lead vocal and guitar, with Michael "Ace" Caserta on bass and vocals, and Brandon Russell on the drums.
